We are assisting a Chico, California agribusiness company find an organized and self-motivated individual to serve as their Assistant Office/ Operations Manager. There is a quick path to Office Manager for the right person and a strong upward career path for the person who can prove him or herself in this position; the company hopes to find a good fit who can make a long career with them.
Among other duties, the Assistant Office/Operations Manager will oversee and facilitate harvest deliveries and the processing of related documents; monitor inventory levels and purchase needed parts and supplies for the repair and maintenance of equipment and facilities; assess compliance and provide safety training to keep compliant with changing regulations; and ensure regulatory compliance and related recordkeeping. Will train in some areas but previous experience a plus.
The successful candidate will have relevant office experience, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel (QuickBooks, PowerPoint, and Access experience a plus); familiarity with standard operating equipment (e.g., forklifts, tractors, conveyors) as background for purchasing duties; will work well in a team setting and in flexible and changing circumstances; and be able to work long hours during harvest. Relevant education is a plus.
Compensation includes a competitive wage structure depending upon experience, plus overtime; employer funded 401k profit sharing plan; employee medical insurance; employer funded Health Savings Account; and paid vacation and sick time.
