CDFA Announces Workshops & Webinars for 2016 SCBGP
With the opening of the application period for the 2016 Specialty Crop Block Grant Program (SCBGP) just around the corner, the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) has released its schedule for informational trainings relating to the grant opportunity. The Request for Applications has not yet been released, but the program schedule states that concept proposals will be due Friday December 4, 2015.
Last year’s solicitation can be reviewed here. CDFA recently published proposed changes to the program for 2016, with that information available here.
During the first two weeks of November, CDFA will present three workshops and two webinars on the SCBGP. The workshops will include a program overview, online application system demonstrations, helpful grant writing tips, and more. Workshops are free to attend, with limited space available; be sure to register in advance. For further details on the dates and locations, see the full announcement here.
Morrison has assisted several clients with proposals for this competitive grant opportunity, including the Apricot Producers of California who were recently awarded $346,339 in 2015 SCBG funds to increase marketing efforts for California-grown apricots.
We currently are accepting clients interested in pursuing this grant opportunity, but do have limited space available. If you are interested in applying, please reach out to the Morrison Grants Team by email at grants@morrisonco.net or call us at 530-893-4764 no later than October 30, 2015.
