CDFA Seeking Comment On New Dairy Digester Grant Opportunity
The California Department of Food and Agriculture is seeking comments and suggestions on a new program that will provide grant funding for the installation of dairy digesters in California.
The Dairy Digester Research and Development Program is expected to open for applications in December, with up to $11 million in competitive grant funding anticipated to be awarded. Award sizes are currently proposed to be a maximum of 50% of the total project cost, up to $3 million.
Two stakeholder meetings have already been held this month in Modesto and Tulare and a live stream of the Sacramento meeting to be held Thursday November 13 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. will be available here.
The proposed program framework is available here. Public comments on the program, grant process, and timeline, are being requested by CDFA and could provide valuable insight and direction to the anticipated solicitation. Comments are due by November 26, 2014 and should be sent to grants@cdfa.ca.gov.
Morrison is actively participating in the stakeholder meeting process and has capacity to accept clients who may be interested in applying for this grant opportunity.
