Grant to support Sonoma wine industry in Wines and Vines

Here at Morrison we are in the thick of Specialty Crop Block Grant season and are working with a number of clients on grant proposals for the program.

A few weeks ago, Wines and Vines highlighted California’s Specialty Crop Block Grant program in their publication, noting the successful 2013 proposal awarded to Morrison client Sonoma Valley Vintners and Growers Alliance. The $357,000 grant will support promotional efforts to increase sales of Sonoma wines.

The story quotes SVVA executive director Maureen Cottingham on the great value the grant award holds for the Sonoma wine industry.

“Receiving this grant is a huge victory for our vintners, winegrowers and tourism partners as we work to build and share the passionate story of Sonoma Valley,” Cottingham said. “The foundation has been set with the Sonoma Valley brand that was launched in early 2013 and now this grant will enable us to execute on a national platform.”

We are blessed to play a role in a number of successful Specialty Crop Block Grant stories and are looking forward to another round of successful proposals!
