Seeking CFO for Midwest Ag Service and Supply Company

We are assisting a leading Midwest provider of services and supplies to the agriculture industry (approximately $1 billion revenues) in their search for a Chief Financial Officer. The position offers a long and meaningful career for a professional ready to become part of a high functioning executive team. The CFO has two direct reports and oversees a staff of about 20, plus approximately 30 indirect reports to the department from operating locations. The CFO reports directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities: This position oversees all finance and accounting functions including G/L accounting, treasury, credit, internal and external reporting, A/R, A/P, and tax. The CFO is expected to work with the executive team to develop and support company initiatives through strategic planning, analysis, and related recommendations; develop financial and other information to forecast and measure results of operations and initiatives; develop relevant analyses for use by all departments; design and maintain internal policies, controls, and procedures to safeguard company assets; develop and mentor talent within the department.

Requirements: The successful candidate will have: 1) a broad business orientation that encompasses the needs, purposes, development, and success of operations and other critical business functions; 2) a Bachelor’s degree or better in accounting, finance, or related field (advanced degree and/or CPA a plus); and 3) seven or more years related experience in companies with revenues of $300 million or greater. Relevant agribusiness industry experience and experience with agricultural cooperatives a plus; grain marketing and hedging experience preferred.

Compensation: This position offers a competitive salary depending on qualifications and experience.
