How We Work
What we do. Our goal is to fill business advisory and service needs that aren’t being met elsewhere. The service we provide may be unique, it might be focused on underserved sectors, or it may not be readily available in certain areas. But regardless of the service line (Business & Accounting Advisory Services, People Solutions, and Recruiting, or Grants) our mission is to fill real, unmet business needs.
Hire talent, teach knowledge. Since we focus on filling advisory and service needs that don’t always fit into neat boxes, we look for people with the core technical competencies plus things you can’t teach, like a service focus and project management skills. The rest we provide with in-house training, mentoring, and outside continuing professional education. You bring the talent and drive, we’ll help with the rest.
Opportunity and growth. Morrison has experienced significant growth and is continuing to expand in both size and services, creating career opportunities. Our flat hierarchy combines support and training with a good dose of personal autonomy, creating a collaborative and engaged atmosphere that nurtures professional growth like few other organizations. And if you have an interest in the community or professional organizations, we can usually help by giving you the time you need and help with expenses. Morrison team members are involved in Rotary, Jesus Center (aid to the homeless and the hungry), Chamber of Commerce, and more professional organizations than we can list.

We know you have a life, and we approve. Many professional firms are tough places to work, with tons of hours and travel. We have our busy stretches but work to make those the exception rather than the rule. We will turn down projects that require extensive travel; our team members were required to do little or no overnight travel, even before the pandemic.
Our service approach is timeless. Colossians 3:23 says it best: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” From clients with revenues in the billions to the newest start-up, there is no unimportant work.
Fun Stuff, Compensation, and Extras
Your family is important to you, which makes them important to us. We invite family to events including company parties and picnics, community events, and about any other excuse we can think of. We want to get to know each other and have a little fun.
Your cell phone bill – we got it. Years ago we paid team members’ cell phone bills to encourage smartphone connectivity. It turns out people liked it, so we decided not to stop even though smartphone ownership is now pretty much universal. The team still likes it, so we still do it.
MoCo meals. Every Morrison (MoCo) team member may take another to any meal once a month on our dime, spouses included if you wish. This has been a great way to build teamwork and friendships.
MoCo trivia. Our weekly team meetings include a round of MoCo trivia (Who was our first recruiting client? Where is Sunsweet Growers headquartered? Who on the team ran a marathon in Marathon, Greece?). Winners get a gift card and bragging rights for a week.
They say there's no free lunch ... but our fridge and freezer are stocked with fresh and frozen lunch items for the team.
And yes, we pay you too. Talk to us about details and vesting but along with a competitive wage our compensation includes medical insurance, 15 days PTO (paid time off) annually, 11 paid holidays, a 401(k) plan with a 3% safe harbor contribution (which means you don’t have to make a match, we just contribute it), an annual bonus plan, and more.

Please note that Morrison does not recruit from client personnel (click here for details).
