Overview:

Morrison, northern California’s largest business consulting firm focused on the needs of small and mid-sized companies, is seeking a highly capable, driven, detail-oriented Business Administrator to assist in the management of everyday business operations. The position reports directly to the Managing Principal, though works in coordination with the entire organization. The Business Administrator must be able to hold a high level of trust and confidentiality; Morrison’s approach is best described by Colossians 3:23: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”

Key Responsibilities Include:

Administrative

  1. Manage vendors including, but not limited to, landlord, repair services, heavy IT support, equipment maintenance, cellular and Internet services, insurance, bank

  2. Banking, bill paying, client invoicing, and recordkeeping

  3. Meeting organization and scheduling

  4. Update and maintain administrative policies

  5. Coordinate travel and lodging accommodations

  6. Assist with client projects as needed

  7. Provide assistance with business promotion projects and customer relationship management as assigned

  8. Maintain office appearance and keep office stocked with necessary supplies

  9. Lead team engagement including team building, meals, celebrations, group volunteering efforts, and other various interactions to support team culture

  10. Plan and manage internal and external events

  11. Manage CRM System

  12. Other duties as assigned

Marketing

The Business Administrator provides functional support and coordination of the following efforts and manages related projects as assigned.

  1. General

    1. Develop annual marketing schedule to include:

      1. Social Media Posts

      2. Creation of Client Success Stories

      3. Blog Posts & Grant Announcements

      4. MailChimp Blasts  

  2. Newsletter and Website

    1. Coordinate content and graphics for quarterly newsletter

    2. Serve as primary interface with outside designer and printer

    3. Serve as primary point of contact with printing and web vendors/contacts

  3. Marketing collateral and graphics

    1. Assist in design of marketing collateral

    2. Ensure all collateral is updated and current

    3. Stock collateral sufficiently for various events, meetings with clients, mailers, etc.

    4. Properly source graphics, (stock, original, etc.) for use in various promotional materials (website, newsletters, email blasts, etc.)

  4. Social media

    1. Develop and manage social media marketing campaign

    2. Create partnerships to promote Morrison brand

    3. Consistently create thoughtful, targeted content to promote Morrison brand and to highlight the good work being done by the company

Human Resources/Payroll

  1. Coordinate with Payroll system/specialist to ensure payroll is properly filed and paid on time

  2. Track Insurances Renewals

  3. Maintain Regulatory Documents (i.e., Tax filings, License renewals, etc.)

  4. Onboard and off-board employees

  5. Coordinate with third-party HR/Payroll provider

  6. Protect confidentiality of sensitive documents and information

Requirements Include:

  1. Bachelor’s degree preferred in marketing, communications, HR, or related degree. Work experience may be considered in lieu of degree

  2. 3-5 years (or more) of related experience in a fast moving organizational setting

  3. Demonstrated ability to work successfully across organizational boundaries and with diverse teams

  4. High attention to detail and ability to develop trust and hold things in confidence

  5. Effective written and strong oral communication skills

  6. This position is required to be on-site at Morrison’s Chico headquarters during regular business hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Compensation:

Competitive hourly rate, depending on qualifications and experience. Talk to us about details and vesting, but along with a competitive salary our compensation includes medical insurance, 15 days PTO (paid time off) annually, 11 paid holidays, a 401(k) plan with a 3% safe harbor contribution (which means you don’t have to make a match, we just contribute it), an annual bonus plan, and more. Starting hourly rate of $20.00 - $22.00 per hour.
